3 Easel Paper Activities!
Roll out the Easel Paper and see what happens! These three suggestions are great to jump start creative minds. See what the kids come up with from there!
Animal Habitats:
Have your child pick a plastic animal to work with. Ask some questions like, “What kind of plants grow where your animal lives? What does your animal eat? Do you want to draw those on the paper?”
Animal Shadow Tracing:
Set a plastic animal next to the paper so it’s shadow falls onto the paper and can be traced. It’s also cool to fill in the shadow outline with marker or crayon to make a silhouette.
Tracing Your Body:
It’s fun for kids to trace a hand or foot. Hand tracings can be turned into all sorts of things like turkeys, bunnies, peacocks, and more! For added fun, kids can lie down and have a grown up or older sibling trace their whole body.
When kids engage in these open ended activities independently, grown ups have much needed time to relax or take care of business. Win win!
